Frequently Asked Questions
1.What hardware is required and does software have to be installed?
Chariot's Test&Train system is Internet-based software-as-a-service. Any computer with an Internet
connection can access the system and no software has to be installed or maintained.
2. Our assessment uses case studies and we require that our candidates write a brief essay. Can
the system accommodate essays?
Yes. The TestandTrain system can accommodate essays. The applicant composes their essay on the
computer and a designated administrator scores the essay on-line.
3. How much staff training is required?
Training requirements are minimal. If an instructor or administrator has some experience using the
Internet, they will find the system easy to learn and use. "Students" will need little, if any,
instruction.
4. How secure is our data?
All student and administrative accounts are password protected and our data center is secure.
Chariot has been providing hosting services for over 7 years and there has never been a security
issue.
5. How long does it take to get started?
If your organization has assessment material in electronic form, your site can be up and running in
less than 10 working days.
6. How much does the service cost?
There is a nominal set up charge for converting your assessment content and establishing the
dedicated site. A typical set up fee is roughly $500. Monthly hosting charges are quoted depending
on the number of test delivered. The minimum charge is $150 per month.
7. Can our organization host the system?
Chariot can provide the software in the form of an "appliance". That is, as a turnkey system with
our software installed on a server. For most organizations, it is far more economical to let
Chariot host the system.
